Who are we?

We are a South African brand born out of adventure, fun and a 12 year friendship between hound and human. Benji, the name sake of this whole movement is a old and gold retriever. He enjoys long walks on the beach, drinking puddle water and a good head scratch.

Ultimately we sell hats.

A composition of fabrics and buckles stitched together and ovular in shape.

Our hats guarantee you the highest degree of shade for your highest square of flesh (your head). Providing protection for your barnet and making statements to the general public.

Our hats are made to be worn.

As such we have chosen materials that last, and that are capable of performing in a range of outdoor conditions.

We put our hats through their paces and assure a long sun filled life span!

Some of the hats have even passed through the jaws of Uncle Benji himself and made it to the other side.

About Me

Shaped by the words of David Attenborough, the work of Yvon Chouinard, the energy of Steve Irwin and the philosophy of Alan Watts I stride confidently towards the horizon.

I love all things adventure, and spend most of my time in the ocean/mountains. After many rejections from many companies, I decided to be brave and start something of my own.

With a little help from friends and the gentle "woof" of inspiration from my doggo "Uncle Benji's" was born.
